Please click "Join our community" on our home page. Review the attached application and submit it to our email. 

Renewals for the year are now closed. However, new members are free to apply at anytime throughout the year. 

Families who join SICHE will also have to obtain and substain membership with NY LEAH.

SICHE is a Christian homeschool community for families on Staten Island and the surrounding area who desire to homeschool alongside other like-minded families. We welcome families with children from Pre-K through 12th grade.

You're welcome! You don't need years of homeschooling experience to be part of SICHE. One of the beautiful things about a homeschool community is being able to learn from and encourage families who are further along in their journey.

Yes. SICHE is a parent-supported homeschool community, not a drop-off program. Parents are an important part of making our community function and are expected to remain involved while their children are participating.

SICHE is a community that works because families contribute. We ask our families to participate and help where they are able. We believe that when everyone contributes something, the entire community benefits.

Yes. We are a non-academic Christian community that is working towards building our children up to love and serve God in all things and in every circumstance. Our goal is to build community and relationships that would bear God’s image, His truth, and the beauty that comes from knowing Him. May our families grow in love and learn to support one another in the journey of raising a godly generation for the Lord.

We ask that all members be actively attending a local church in person as we ask for a pastoral letter upon membership application.

SICHE is primarily a Christian community and enrichment group, rather than an academic co-op. Our goal isn't to replace your homeschool curriculum or become your child's school. Instead, we provide opportunities for learning, creativity, fellowship, service, friendship, and experiences that are difficult to recreate at home.

SICHE meets twice a month on Fridays during the school year, generally from September through May. Our schedule may vary slightly from year to year.

We offer opportunities for children from Pre-K through 12th grade. Classes and activities vary by semester and age group.
